something old...

Not long ago I went out looking at model homes with a friend (yes, I still seem to have this problem). All I remember about the actual houses we saw is that they were big, beautiful and way out of our price range (that’s WHY I love looking). I do, however, remember a little piece of furniture inside one of them – how could I forget, after all, it was LOVE at first sight. In one of the rooms there was the cutest little turquoise dresser ever. Such a pretty color and just the right amount of shabbiness. As corny as it sounds, this dresser spoke to me (said "loook at me, looove me"). I knew I would never get over this object of my desire until I had one of my own. Well, I am happy to say – now I do. The project I mentioned a month ago, is complete (thanks to a little inspiration from this gal).

Isn’t it LOVELY? I can't tell you how much I love OLD furniture. Give me your ugly, your old, Your battered dressers yearning to breathe free. I can’t wait to refinish some more. Actually, we did do more – 3 other pieces in fact (& they're just as funky :)). I’ll share pictures soon.

And, one more little bit of loveliness. Our baby is now 5 months old! Can’t believe how fast she is growing or how much we all just love her to pieces (even her brothers). Where’s the pause button!?!

The dresser turned out so nice. It's beautiful! I could find a nice dandy place for it:)

We love the picture of Maggie Roo!
We have wanted A pause button for each and everyone of our precious little ones including one for yourself. Just embrace each stage and every moment no matter how hectic and insane some of them are. They grow so fast. xoxoxo

Thanks for saying hello! I have to admit, I sure wish you hadn't, and that I hadn't come to your blog, because I NEED, as in MUST HAVE a dresser exactly like the one you have there. Gorgeous! I think that might be the dresser I've been looking for all my life. Aqua, distressed, and decorative details? NICE work. :-)

If you ever have extra stuff 'refinished' and need a place to put it, my house would welcome it!! GORGEOUS. You are super talented and handy. This dresser is a beauty. And so is that baby girl, along with the rest of your kiddos!

My husband was just walking by as i was reading this post and I said, "Oooh, come look at this super cute turquoise dresser!" Of course, his response was "Turqouise dresser?" with that tone of voice suggesting I was a touch crazy. Well, he saw it and thought it was just as cute as I did!
