Pictures as Promised

We've been having problems with our IP & I have to say, one of the pros to being without the internet is I have been able to finish a few projects. The craft room is finally put together, or at least well enough to take a few pictures and share.

Here is the BEFORE, when it was a rarely used playroom (a dead zone)...
And here it is now...

Three projects I finished this week:
Words to live by...
Somewhere to display a few masterpieces...
A skirt to hide the inevitable clutter...
A project still on my to-do-list: a window valance out of this vintage pillowcase.

We use it all the time, which is why it took so long to take pictures - I had to clear the table off. I love finding my children sitting at the desk coloring pictures. The best part is that this transformation was very affordable. Most of the furniture pieces were ugly freebies we revamped with funky colored paint. I have a few more ideas in mind, but for now it's done!

This is one of the cutest rooms I've ever seen. I love the fabrics, the paint, everything. I could do some serious crafting in that room.

I want to live in that room - I'm sure the creative juices will flow freely in that room for many years to come - beautiful!

Welcome back creative one! The room turned out so cute and inviting.
I am glad the kids love their new table. Lets go find another wonderful chest with great bones, so I can have one for my room too! I seriously adore your turquoise chest.
I hope you are soon feeling better!

You amaze me Natalie. I can't believe how cute and fun you made this room. I can't wait to see your cute valences too! I'll have to walk over and see the finished project soon. I'm just starting on window treatments for our basement - finally.

You are awesome. Good luck not being online. I'd really miss it!

I just found your blog through the Taming Kids Clutter Linky Party. I LOVE the colors in this room. Do you mind sharing paint brands/colors? Also, how difficult was the table skirt to sew? I'm thinking of sewing one for my sewing table. Thanks so much! :)

What a great room! I'm hoping to do something similar in our basement someday when we finish it off. I really want to have all the craft supplies set out so my kids can be creative as the mood strikes. But they are 3 and 1 now, so there isn't a big hurry!

Paint color for table & turquoise dresser is "Lily Creek" from the Seaside Retreat collection at Lowes. The green is "Green Apple" spray paint by American Traditions. Wall color is "Stillness" by Valspar.

I love your colors! It looks like a fun room to create, as well as a fun place for your kids to create along with you! I love it all! My sewing room is always full of toys and everything else that my daughter drags in with her, when I am sewing!
It's funny how our kids want to be where we are every minute! Thanks for sharing!
