Washington Part II

(Quinalt Lake)

I am trying to catch up. I already showed you pictures of the beautiful beaches on theWashington Coast, so now I'll share the rest.
We stayed at Seabrook, a sister community to the place where we stayed in Oregon.  However, we didn't really spend much time at Seabrook - there were too many interesting  places to see up north in Olympic National Park.

We fell in love with Quinalt Lake and nearby waterfalls and hikes:

This is what a lake house looks like in the Rain Forest:

We also loved the Hoh Rain Forest area:

(the massive, moss covered maple trees were absolutely amazing!)

And, since we were in the area...

(view of the Puget sound from Alki Beach/West Seattle)
Four days wasn't nearly enough time to see everything.  It is such a beautiful part of our country, we would love to go back someday.

* I am starting to see why I ran out of photo storage space :)

I recognized many of the places you were! Did you go to the Lodge? We hope to stay there this year. We ate at the restaurant and it was nummy. Congrats on your Anniversary too.

Oh wow, what amazing photos of Washington! It actually reminds me a lot of the west coast here in BC :) So pretty and I love your heart quilt in the above entry. Perfect for valentine's day!

Memories of the Pacific Northwest where I lived off and on for ten years. Your photos of the moss covered trees, moss on the roof, rushing water and gorgeous views brought smiles. Thanks for the lovely photos. -- barbara (now Kentuckian)
