The good news is I crossed another item off my de-stashing list - I used up a couple of Bliss charm square packs. I have seen some amazing quilts on Flickr using this HST pattern, and I thought I'd give it a try.
It came together quickly and I am mostly pleased with it. However, there is a small part of me that keeps wondering what it would have looked like sashed in Kona Ash. There is just something about that particular solid that has me hooked.
There will be NO weekend sewing happening at this house - the sun is calling my name.
(crossing my fingers that tomorrow it will still be shining)
Dang, you just whipped that up? You are a MACHINE! It looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI agree...it is amazing and it really went together that quickly? Enjoy the sun. We should be in the 70's here tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteYou are pretty amazing.
I keep looking at my fabric and afraid to tackle it.
I just wanna go buy more.
your projects are so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on that quilt top. I love to look at them but just can't seem to get the quilting bug. I'd rather be outside with my camera!
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog tonight as I was Googling Vintage Sheet Quilts..... I think I spent at least an hour going through more or less ALL you posts. So interesting and engaging. Will be following you from now on!
