The jelly roll zig zag quilt is finished!
I hand stitched the binding down this morning in bed (feeling a little under the weather),
washed it, and gave it to my happy parents this afternoon.
It feels good to check something off the list - especially a belated Christmas gift.
As a bonus for completing a project, this arrived in the mail today...
I think I know what I am working on next.
Oh my goodness!!!! That is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI looked at jelly rolls at the fabric store the other day and wondered what you do with them.
Is there a tutorial that you do?
Do you teach quilt piecing for dummies?
LOVE IT!
How beautiful, you did a wonderful job and I'm sure your parents are proud to have it.
ReplyDeleteWow...that is absolutely beautiful! Wow, wow...the choices and the white absolutely work!!! Wow!
ReplyDeleteWe love, love, LOVE it! It matches everything perfectly. I know it was a ton of work.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better quickly. Maybe someone can take over for you tomorrow and you can hunker down and take care of just you!;)
The zigzag looks great! I like the bottom pic, and that pink would be interesting in it. It's bright and cheerful. I died laughing when I saw your "child proofing" the house cartoon.
ReplyDeleteWow -- your colorful zig zag quilt is absolutely beautiful -- the quilting is fantastic. I just discovered you. Your bio is similar to mine if I printed one. Thanks for the great photos -- barbara
ReplyDeleteOh WOW, your quilt is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm sure your dear parents are smiling big everytime they look at it! What a keepsake! Thanks for sharing! I love the cute Valentine cookies, we like to make them at our house too! My Mom use to sing "Love At Home" often, we always needed it, it was a gentle reminder to behave! LOL
